SFERA, the Spanish clothing retailer, welcomes the Spring/Summer 2022 season with a globally inspired collection. Perfect for the contemporary woman, the collection celebrates modern femininity with an ethnic twist, fusing bold patterns with muted tones. Sfera offers a variety of affordable and stylish wardrobe staples with a store located in Mirdif City Centre Mall and a second store opening later this year.
The elegant collection kicks off the summer season advancing along a road and progressing from the dawn of pre-spring to high summer. This is reflected in the amalgamation of textures, fabrics and colours that make up the collection. The materials and the colour palettes accompanying them have been chosen to evoke exotic and far-off places, plunging into the most artsy decades of the 20th Century to appear as an eclectic, elegant and daring collection that draws on different cultures to see the rebirth of the cosmopolitan, traveller woman to whom SFERA pays tribute this season.
The collection blossoms with pastel colours that appear on hyper-feminine 60s- inspired garments with tweed fabrics, semi-transparent chiffon, satin and lace as a throwback that gradually builds up to a roar.
This ode to joy continues in the mid-century line, where clean whites are juxtaposed with playful designs and psychedelic prints that predict a wild summer. At the same time, the collection includes garments that make one dream of the one thousand and one nights of summer through opulent jewel hues; lapis lazuli blue, bright orange, amber and chocolate to transport one to the exotic paradises of Bombay, Riyadh or Qatar.
Flowing cotton suits with rustic textures that transition to beige, earthy colours represent a link to nature and a return to the African Savannah where a jungle theme is played out. This theme gives way to animal and ethnic prints that, in an unexpected twist in the plot, pay a subtle nod to the pop art movement piloted by Warhol in the 60s.
This rounds off a summer that plunges into the past to project a heady future, abundant in nuances and details that are interconnected to produce an extremely eclectic and special collection.
SFERA is located at Mirdif City Centre Mall with prices starting at AED 49 for accessories ranging to AED 299 for dresses, skirts, shirts and trousers.
