Cooperative societies in Kuwait are banning expatriates from entering co-op supermarkets to shop and buy products during the holy month of Ramadan. Several Police Co-operative Societies are denying people entry unless they are Kuwaitis or working for the interior ministry.
Security guards are stationed at all entrances of Police Co-ops to check people’s civil IDs. The band started two days before Ramadan. The decision has been considered and declared illegal by the Kuwaiti residents and officials form various industries and sectors.
