Luxury Resort offers exclusive privacy with one of the lowest density of villas in the Indian Ocean. Experience “Natural Freedom” again with spacious facilities, imbedded in nature and safety for all guests
Located on the Raa Atoll in the Northern Maldives archipelago, Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is delighted to have re-opened on August 1st 2020 with new COVID-19 testing available on site for all guests. This is just one of the new health and safety measures the five-star, Deluxe All-inclusive resort has undertaken to ensure this vastly spacious, paradisal island is safe for families and couples alike to return to and experience the luxury of travel again.
Member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Emerald Maldives invites guests to experience the Natural Elegance and Natural Freedom philosophy of the resort where space, luxury, comfort and privacy are in the very nature of the guest experience. Emerald Maldives is set on 20 hectares of beautiful private island land and surrounded by 100 hectares of wrap-around reef in walking distance of the 1.7km beach. The endless azure blue sea, golden sand and green outdoor space ensures guests will truly feel like they’re on their own paradise island.
A core philosophy since opening in August 2019, “Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, after only one year of operating, became one of the top 10 Resort in the Maldives thanks to our guests’ wonderful and positive feedback” – declared Aldo Scarapicchia, Partner & Chief Operating Officer of Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa.
Mr Aldo also said “We have measured the densities of construction on our island, resulting one of the three lowest percentages in all of the Maldives. This make us confident that we offer our guests wide spaces, privacy and tranquillity to enjoy a perfect and safe vacation.”
Boasting 120 villas designed by architect Edward David Poole who brings a Singaporean and Italian influence to create modern, sleek interiors unique to the Maldives, each of the 60 Beach Villas offer a private area of beach with direct access to the Indian Ocean just steps from the villa, and each of the 60 Overwater Villas are separated by 20m and offer their own area of outdoor decking, a lounge area and private pools that seamlessly blend into the ocean around them. Guests can choose to retreat in the seclusion of their spacious villa all day and watch the world go by or head to one of the many public areas without fear, where new social distancing and increased hygiene measures have been put in place.
To prevent and manage Covid-19, all guests will have their temperature checked on arrival and departure, luggage surfaces will be disinfected, and staff of Emerald Maldives will wear face masks at all times. Guests will be provided with a Hygiene Kit in every villa including their own face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes, and disposable gloves, and these will also be available in public areas. There will be a mobile sterilization UV light disinfectant and electrostatic sprayer with grade disinfectants used to clean villas between check-ins as well as the gym, spa, Dolphin Kids Club, restaurants & bars and all other public areas. All supplies and materials used at the resort will be sanitized, and a medical Doctor and new dedicated Hygiene Manager will be on hand to ensure the new procedures are monitored on a daily basis and that both guests and the Emerald staff are both safe and comfortable.
Operating on a Deluxe All-Inclusive basis, Emerald Maldives is home to four atmospheric concept restaurants covering cuisine from every continent, including ‘Amazònico’, the Maldives latest South American restaurant and international cuisine from ‘Aqua’ which is set across 3000sqm of outdoor space. Each of the restaurants have an open-air design and seating has been rearranged to ensure social distancing is possible, whilst maintaining intimacy for groups of guests. For those that would rather relax in the privacy of their villa, contact-free in-room dining is available from resort butlers who will ensure guests are receiving the highest quality of service and delicious cuisine as part of the Emerald experience, even from the comfort of their villa.
Other resort highlights include the Emerald SPA – a haven of tranquillity set over 5000sqm with 10 private villas for Balinese and Thai style treatments as well as a relaxation area – and there are two large tennis courts, two padel courts, an air-conditioned Gym & Sports Centre and a dedicated Dolphin Kids Club with the largest outdoor area available in the Maldives, where young travellers can play carefree.
