Dubai Safari Park Welcomes Visitors

Dubai Safari, home to some 3000 animals, rare birds, and a large variety of amphibians and invertebrates has started welcoming visitors. With a full range of interactive, educational, and entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages, the Dubai Municipality has adopted many changes, in addition to providing a range of new activities.

Dubai Safari, one of the most prominent destinations in the United Arab Emirates is spread over an area of 119 hectares. The park closed to the public in May 2018, and the Dubai Municipality has since been working on a comprehensive renovation and development process with the aim of expanding the facilities and providing more diverse experiences. It included making many improvements aimed at facilitating the guests’ access to its various sites and enjoying its services and attractions, in addition to developing the walking paths within the park, so that they can easily explore all parts of the park.

Spread across 119 hectares, it is not only a wildlife and animal reserve but also an educational center at the same time. The park now also includes a group of new animals, including African elephants and giraffes. Visitors to the park can avail of the transportation service using the latest air-conditioned trains that will transport them to all villages in Dubai Safari Park, Asian Village, African Village, Explorer Village, Safari Tour, and Arabian Desert Safari Tour and along the valley that extends inside the park.

Exciting experiences top look out for at the park

  • The Safari Journey features a private guide and driver who will bring the wonders of Dubai Safari Park to life in the most vivid way. VIP interaction, special access to shows and ambassador animals in private vehicles make up the experience.
  • A simplified hop on-hop off bus service will take visitors to each area of the park, including the Asian, African, and Arabian Villages, and along the banks of the Wadi river that stretches the length of the park. The villages and experience can be visited in any order. Visitors will experience a world of adventure and discovery as they get up close to a host of animals including some of Africa’s most stunning wildlife such as lions, rhinoceros, elephants, and giraffes.

In addition to the customer experience, the physiological and psychological well-being of the animals at Dubai Safari Park is of the upmost importance and the park is committed to creating an environment where the animals in its care can thrive. Staff will also be involved in a range of welfare, behaviour, and veterinary research programmes. Through Dubai Safari Park, Dubai Municipality aims to boost conservation and breeding projects for endangered local species.
