Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises leverages Honda’s activation at Dubai Festival City Mall to present its latest compact sedan
Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, the exclusive distributor of Honda vehicles in the UAE, is launching the all-new 2021 Honda City in the UAE, during the annual automotive exhibition pop up – Auto Fest 2021. Held at the Dubai Festival City Mall, the one-week Honda activation will mark the UAE debut of the new fifth generation 2021 Honda City, that will be joined with the brand’s 2021 line up including the new 2021 Accord and the all-new CBR600RR super sports motorcycle.
Boasting new exterior and interior updates, the redesigned 2021 Honda City will be the highlight of the Honda stand at Auto Fest. Poised the longest and the widest sedan in its segment, the new 2021 Honda City has exceeded the benchmark with its premium design, sharp body character lines and full LED headlights that give it a sporty and advanced look and feel. The new Honda City is equipped with a 1.5-liter DOHC engine producing 121 hp, mated with a CVT transmission that makes the drive smoother and more efficient.
From the inside, the new 2021 Honda City continues the ambition of spaciousness and comfort, while its Dynamic View Concept structures the design of the instrument panel to fall in the line of sight for the driver. The All New City boasts a suite of safety technologies with Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) that prevents the collision impact from reaching the passengers along with six airbags to protect passengers from collisions from any side.
Rhett Maxwell, Honda UAE’s General Manager at Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, said, “This year’s Auto Fest marks a major occasion for Honda UAE to present not one but three new models – all reflecting Honda’s sporty designs and advanced technologies. The all-new Honda City will take the center stage of the Honda stand at Auto Fest and is the latest testament for the brand’s promise to deliver ‘innovation inspired by dreams’. We are particularly excited to be exhibiting the 2021 Honda City for our customers to explore the car’s offerings of improved performance, upgraded interior, sporty exterior styling, and safety features.”
The one-week Honda pop-up stand at Auto Fest will also feature the 2021 models of the flagship new Honda Accord and the all-new CBR600RR super sports motorcycle. Offering a refreshed styling and new features across all grades, Honda’s flagship mid-size sedan is powered with two turbo-charged engine variants, a 1.5L Turbo and 2.0 Turbo, offering a sportier look and feel. The 2021 Accord boasts a more distinguishable Sport Grade with exterior and interior design updates including new Piano Black accent trims, 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, new interior colour on the concert hall-inspired cabin and advanced features added to enhance safety and connectivity.
Representing Honda’s most advanced 600-series machine with high speed racing aerodynamics, the all-new 2021 CBR600RR offers advanced features such as MotoGP-style bodywork and aerodynamics, 12-spoke wheels combined with a powerful fuel injection and a superior air intake control. Honda has used its extensive experience and technology from Moto2 and MotoGP winning machines, delivering Throttle By Wire (TBW) selectable rider modes and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) levels. Equipped with a powerful 121hp engine, the Moto2-inspired CBR600RR also features a new five-axis IMU-controlled two-channel cornering ABS that is capable to incapsulate “Total control” machine behaviour.
A complete Honda line-up will complement the brand’s stand at Auto Fest, including the sporty compact sedan – the Civic RS, the luxury minivan – the 2021 Odyssey, the seven-seater versatile SUV – the Pilot, Honda’s flagship mid-size SUV – the CR-V, in addition to Honda’s small SUV– the 2021 HR-V. Rounding up the displayed models will be Honda’s exciting motorcycle range, including the Fireblade from the powerful and athletic super sports motorcycle range, alongside the Goldwing from the touring range, and the Africa Twin that is designed for thrilling adventures.
“With vast expertise in the automotive industry, we are confident that the 2021 Honda car and motorcycle model range including the all-new CBR600RR high-performance super sports motorcycle and the refreshed 2021 Honda Accord, will appeal to our customers in the UAE. We look forward to welcome Dubai Festival City Mall goers and shoppers at our Honda stand to explore the latest innovation of Honda vehicles in the UAE,” Maxwell added.
Held until April 10, the main Honda stand within the Auto Fest exhibition will be located at the Festival Square of Dubai Festival City Mall. Customers are welcome to visit the Honda stand that will be open throughout the week during the working hours of the Dubai Festival City mall.
