Moving home? How RTA is making relocating hassle-free

Moving home in Dubai can be a stressful time. But the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has launched a new service called Logisty that will use AI and machine learning to make relocating a doddle.

A collaboration with Trukker, one of the region’s largest logistics and transportation companies, Logisty aims to make moving hassle-free.

The new service is available in an easy-to-use app and provides instant quotes whether you’re moving to a studio apartment or a five-bedroom villa.

The app keeps things straightforward. Simply select what size of home you’re moving into, your current address and where you’re going to get a quote for a next-day relocation.

The whole booking process takes just a matter of minutes rather than the lengthy back-and-forth typically on offer with other moving services.

The service is operated by Trukker and powered by the RTA, so you know you’re in safe, reliable hands.

Booking plans are available in three options. A super saver plan provides trucks, helpers, installers, white goods connections and furniture dismantling and assembly. The standard plan provides additional helpers and boxes. The premium plan adds a handyman for any curtain rods or wall mountings you might need.

Prices range from around Dhs810 on the super saver plan for a studio move up to approximately Dhs5,775 for a premium plan in a five-bedroom villa. Prices will also depend on how far you move. A similar next-day offering in Dubai for a studio flat is priced at around Dhs945.

The service takes into account the busy Dubai lifestyle as they’ll handle the packing and unpacking of your belongings, furniture disassembly and reassembly, as well as loading and unloading.

You can also get real-time tracking to monitor all your items while they’re in transit. You’ll get location updates and expected arrival times for every step of the big move.
