Dubai Parking fees are changing next month

Starting in April, parking fees in Dubai will see a significant change as Parkin, the city’s official parking operator, introduces new tariffs, including a hike for premium parking spaces.

During peak hours, from 8am to 10am and 4pm to 8pm, Dubai parking fees in high-demand areas will rise to Dh6 per hour.

These premium parking spaces, strategically located near public transport hubs, business districts and popular shopping areas, are expected to offer convenience for drivers in congested zones. In contrast, regular parking spaces across the city will remain priced at Dh4 per hour.

Parkin has identified premium parking zones based on three factors: proximity to metro stations (within 500 meters), high occupancy during peak times and dense commercial areas.

First announced alongside a change to dynamic Salik toll gate pricing back in November, the variable structure for parking was initially set to be rolled out in March.

Instead, the new rates will come into force from early April with a wider announcement coming later in March.

Zone A Dubai parking

Public parking is divided into four zones named A, B, C and D.

Standard on-street parking will be priced the same during peak and off-peak hours in Zone A with one hour of parking priced at Dhs4, two hours at Dhs8, three hours at Dhs12 and four hours at Dhs16.

Premium parking in Zone A will be priced at Dhs6 at peak times and Dhs4 for off-peak times for one hour. The cost then doubles for two hours for both off-peak and peak times.

After three hours you’ll pay Dhs18 and Dhs12 for off-peak tariffs. After four hours, peak tariffs will be Dhs24 while off-peak is Dhs16.

Zone B Dubai parking

Standard and premium off-street parking tariffs are split between peak and off-peak tariffs.

After one hour, peak fees are Dhs4 while off-peak is Dhs3. Premium parking fees are Dhs6 at peak times and Dhs3 for off-peak.

Standard fees are Dh8 at peak times and Dhs6 at off-peak times after two hours. For premium parking you’ll pay Dhs12 peak tariffs and Dhs6 for off-peak.

Peak fees are Dhs12 after three hours and Dhs9 for off-peak for standard parking. And premium parking will cost Dhs18 after three hours at peak times and Dhs9 at off-peak times.

After four hours it’s Dhs16 for standard parking and Dhs12 for off-peak. In the same time frame peak fees are Dhs24 and Dhs12 for off-peak.

A flat day rate of Dhs30 is available for standard off-street parking while Dhs40 is the rate for premium parking.

Zone C Dubai parking

Similarly, on-street parking in Zone C has different rates for peak and off-peak times but there is no flat day rate.

Off-peak fees are the same regardless of whether you’re parking in a premium or standard space.

Peak premium fees after an hour are Dhs6 with standard prices set at Dhs4. Off-peak prices are Dhs2.

After two hours, peak fees are Dhs8 for standard parking while premium costs Dhs12. Off-peak will cost Dhs5 per hour.

For three hours of standard parking it costs Dhs12 and premium fees are Dhs18 while off-peak is Dhs8.

And after four hours, fees are Dhs24 for premium and Dhs16 for standard. Off-peak is set at Dhs11.

Zone D Dubai parking

For off-street parking in Zone D, a day rate applies to both standard and premium parking.

Off-peak tariffs will be the same across the board regardless of where you park with fees set at Dhs2 for one hour, Dhs4 for two hours, Dhs5 for three hours and Dhs7 for four hours.

An hour of standard parking at peak times is Dhs4 and Dhs6 in premium parking.

Standard parking for two hours will cost Dhs8 at peak times and Dhs12 for premium parking.

For three hours, it’ll be Dhs12 for standard and Dhs18 for premium and at four hours it’s Dhs16 for standard and Dhs24 for premium.

Day rates are set at Dhs20 for standard and Dhs30 for premium.

The pricing adjustments also include a new congestion pricing policy for major events at Dubai World Trade Centre.

From February 2025, public parking near high-traffic event zones, such as the Dubai World Trade Centre, will charge Dh25 per hour to manage the surge in demand during exhibitions, festivals and conferences.

The revised parking fees will be implemented in two phases, with event-specific charges taking effect from February and the general tariff changes rolling out by the beginning of April.
