‘Mr. Big’ Reunites with Carrie Bradshaw Wearing the Jacob & Co. Epic X Watch

Before seeing his old “Sex and the City” flame, ‘Mr. Big’ (actor Chris Noth) paid a visit to the Jacob & Co. New York boutique on August 4 to see his friend, Jacob Arabo. Noth left with the Jacob & Co. Epic X Titanium, which turned out to be the perfect watch for reuniting with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).

The two, with the watch, appeared on Parker’s Instagram page on August 6 to tease the return of “Sex and the City.” The continuation, titled, “And Just Like That …” will attempt to recapture the magic of the immensely popular series. Below the photo, Parker wrote, “These 2. I bet they stay out late tonight.”

Mr. Big, whose name was revealed as John James Preston on the final episode of the long-running series, had an emotional rollercoaster affair with Bradshaw that attracted a great deal of fan attention.

The reunion photograph with the watch in plain sight caught the media by storm. News sites as varied as Oprah, Entertainment Tonight, E! News, Extra, Mexico’s Quien, and 10PM Curfew, reposted the image on their Instagram platforms.

Us Weekly noted that the photo appeared days after the actors were captured “filming a tense scene on the streets of Manhattan.”

The Epic X is a bold and robust timepiece, with a skeletonized JCAM02 caliber visible through sapphire crystal on the front and back of the watch. A skeletonized caliber is one in which a watchmaker carefully removes as much metal as possible from the movement that powers the watch without compromising its functionality. It is both a work of art and product of high craftsmanship.

Noth’s model has a 44mm titanium case and an inner ring made of black Neoralithe, a durable material made from resin that was developed in Switzerland.

It turned out to be the perfect timepiece to rekindle the romance between Mr. Big and Carrie.

Sex and the City, the New York-based romantic comedy-drama, follows the lives of four women who, despite their different natures and ever-changing sex lives, remain inseparable. The award-winning series ran for six seasons on HBO from 1998 to 2004 and continued with two popular movies.

The Sex and the City revival, “And Just Like That …,” will have many of the major and recurring characters returning, with one major exception: Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall, will be replaced by Sara Ramirez. It will appear on HBO Max. The date hasn’t been released.
