Dubai Festival City Gets its First Ambulance Station

The ambulance station, opened up by Al -Futtaim Real Estate in partnership with Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, will be equipped with three ambulances, catering to Dubai Festival City and its surrounding areas, also providing support during events

Dubai Festival City, Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s fully integrated destination and part of Al-Futtaim Group in partnership with Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services launched their first ambulance station in Dubai Festival City. The new station, equipped with three ambulances will cater to Dubai Festival City as well as the surrounding areas including Nad Al Hamar and Dubai Creek Harbour.

As part of its partnership with Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Festival City provided support in building the station and will facilitate the maintenance and running of the 24X7 ambulance facility for the authority to operate their services, providing faster response times to accidents in the surrounding areas. The ambulance station will also provide support during Dubai Festival City events.

Highly trained medical and support staff on site at the new station will provide aid and manage medical services in the instance of medical emergencies in Dubai Festival City and its surrounding areas. The installation of the new ambulance station comes as an important step in Dubai Festival City’s goal to invest in establishing safety and quick medical response for the destination’s residents, mall visitors and tenants.

The inauguration ceremony of the new ambulance station was attended by, Dr. Haidar Saeed Al Yousuf, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Health together with Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, the Executive Director of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police.

On his part, H.E. Mishal Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Director of Dubai Corporation For Ambulance Services (DCAS), said: “We seek to strengthen our partnerships with the private sector for the benefit of society, and we appreciate Al-Futtaim Group’s CSR efforts, especially in terms of preserving the health and safety of the destination’s residents and visitors. This is in line with DCAS’s endeavor to reduce emergency response time and expand our services, and the launch of the new ambulance station will contribute to this goal. We look forward to harnessing our partnership with Al-Futtaim Group in order to implement various community initiatives to raise awareness in the field of health and life preservation.” Moreover, H.E. highlighted the enhanced response times during the station’s trial period, contributing to better customer satisfaction and happiness at the destination. H.E also emphasized that partnership with the private sector plays a major role in improving the patient experience and saving lives.
