Santa Surprises 25 Children with Wishes Sent in Latest Global Village Guinness World Record Achievement
8th Guinness World Record title of Silver Jubilee Season achieved by Global Village’s guests on 18th December for most letters to Santa collected in 24 hours
As the spirit of the festive season takes over Global Village, the UAE and wider region’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, Santa has surprised 25 young guests by making their wishes come true after taking part in the destination’s successful record breaking attempt. The 8th Guinness World Record gained this season saw children and guests writing the most letters to Santa collected within a 24 hour timeframe. To celebrate the feat, Santa Claus has selected 25 lucky children from the thousands of letters received and will deliver amazing presents and festive surprises to them.
Global Village has also broken its seventh world record of the season earlier this week with the “Largest Online Video Chain of People Drinking and Passing a Drink” where 444 participants enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and virtually passed it on. Looking ahead, Global Village has its sights set on making more history this season as it targets a further 17 Guinness World Records before the season closes on 18th April 2021.
Tickets to Global Village cost AED15 and entry is free for children under three, people of determination, and seniors aged 65 and above.
The park operates from 4pm to midnight from Saturday to Wednesday (with last entry at 11.30pm), and Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 1am, with last entry at 12.30am).
