Iran says Strait of Hormuz closed, 2 ships attempting to pass through hit
Iran’s top joint military command announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, including oil tankers and commercial ships, saying any vessel that will attempt passage will be shot at.
Iranian media reported that two ships were fired upon.
US Central Command denied that the strait was closed, saying commercial ships were still transiting the strait despite Iran’s threats.

US forces complete retaliatory strikes against Iran, military says
The US military said it has now completed additional self-defence strikes against multiple targets in Iran. Central Command announced the strikes were complete about four hours after they began shortly after midnight in Tehran.
