Dubai Metro Extends Timings Ahead of Peak Travel Period this Weekend

Planning to fly in or out of Dubai this weekend?

Well, brace yourself because Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for its busiest travel period of the season as it is expected to welcome 3.43 million guests from now until Monday September 2.

But on the bright side, the Dubai Metro has extended its operating hours to make your travel even more convenient. From Thursday August 22 to Saturday August 24, the Dubai Metro will be running between Centrepoint and GGICO stations from 5am until 2am the next day.

On Sunday August 25, the metro will start a bit later, at 8am but will still run until 2am the next day.

This extension allows you to explore the city well into the night, ensuring that you can make the most of Dubai’s nightlife and late-night dining options without worrying about catching the last train.

Whether you’re an early riser planning to catch the sunrise at Jumeirah Beach or a night owl looking to experience the city’s nightlife, Dubai Metro’s extended hours make it easier than ever to navigate the city.

So, if you’re travelling to Dubai this weekend, rest assured that the metro is ready to take you where you need to go — no matter the hour.

Safe travels.
