DBWC Collaborates with Capgemini to Explore Future of Generative AI and Women’s Role in Tech
The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) organised a workshop in collaboration with Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology services, and digital transformation, shedding light on the future implications of generative artificial intelligence (AI), its positive impacts, and ethical considerations in business practices. A number of DBWC members participated in the event.
The workshop, exculsively tailored for the council’s members, was moderated by Aruna Pattam, Capgemini Practice Lead, Generative Al, Analytics and Data Science of Asia-Pacific region.
Attendees explored the core concepts of generative AI and its diverse applications across various industries. Discussions revolved around the ethical frameworks governing its use, potential challenges, and strategies to ensure its ethical deployment.
The event further explored the ways in which companies and institutions can leverage this cutting-edge artificial intelligence concept, emphasizing the role of women in the AI sector. Discussions centred on the challenges they encounter and the imperative for greater inclusivity and representation in this critical domain, alongside an examination of the future outlook for generative artificial intelligence.
Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at the Dubai Business Women Council, emphasized that the workshop discussed the latest technologies and contemporary strategies that can be adopted to boost members’ skills, knowledge, experience, and competitiveness.
She emphasized that artificial intelligence marks a significant shift in the advantages companies can gain, particularly in enhancing customer experiences, streamlining company operations and activities, and boosting employee productivity.
Halabi stressed that the council is fully committed to supporting its members, offering comprehensive resources and services aimed at enhancing their skills, and empowering them to capitalise on the technologies emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution to evolve their business practices.

Earlier last year, the UAE introduced the Generative AI Application User Guide, aimed at empowering government entities to harness the potential of AI technology and elevate its integration across diverse professional domains.
