ADPF, ADNEC Group and ADSC Collaborate To Provide Pensioners and Beneficiaries Complimentary Access to Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Facilities
ADNEC Group and Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF), in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), launched a new initiative offering pensioners and ADPF beneficiaries complimentary access to the sports facilities and activities of Abu Dhabi Summers Sports (ADSS), which is organized by ADNEC Services, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, in cooperation with the ADSC. The initiative takes place from 11th July to 10th August at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
This initiative seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourages social engagement among pensioners and beneficiaries in sports and entertainment activities. This comes as part of the ADPF’s efforts to enhance the social benefits provided to its beneficiaries.
Through this initiative, pensioners and beneficiaries can participate for free in a range of sports, including football, padel, volleyball, and badminton, with the option to reserve courts on Tuesdays and Thursdays with both morning and evening slots available to accommodate individual preferences and schedules. Additionally, participants can take advantage of the walking and running tracks, a fully-equipped training center offered by Technogym, and awareness workshops conducted by the Abu Dhabi 360 programme each week.
To access the initiative, pensioners and beneficiaries, along with their families or friends, can contact the dedicated number via phone call or WhatsApp message at 050 738 2565.
ADSS aims to encourage the community to lead a healthy lifestyle by practicing sports in a comfortable air-conditioned indoor venue during the summer months at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
“We are thrilled to be part of this incredible collaboration,” commented His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council. “We firmly believe that engaging in sports activities not only enhances physical fitness but also fosters camaraderie and brings joy to individuals. This joint effort is a testament to the power of collaboration and its positive impact on the lives of our pensioners population, contributing to the overall well-being of our community. Through Abu Dhabi 360, we are committed to supporting, educating, and encouraging individuals to actively participate in sports and lead healthy lifestyles.”
This collaboration between ADNEC Group, ADPF, and ADSC, ensures that pensioners and beneficiaries have access to world-class facilities, giving them the opportunity to embrace an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
“This collaboration comes as part of the fund’s efforts to expand the social benefits for its pensioners by participating in initiatives that promote positive community engagement and adopting a healthy and enthusiastic lifestyle,” stated Khalaf Abdulla Rahma Al Hammadi, Director General Pension Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, said: “we are committed to carrying out initiatives and organising events that prioritise the well-being of people in Abu Dhabi, including the pensioners. By organising ADSS 2023, we are enabling the community to enjoy the numerous benefits of physical activity in a world-class indoor sporting environment during the Summer.”
“ADSS is one of the biggest events that offers sports venues tailored to people of all fitness levels, allowing them to practice their favourite sports activities and lead an active lifestyle. ADSS is a valuable addition to the agenda of events taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.” he added.
This initiative not only aligns with the government’s 2030 vision of creating a healthy and happy emirate but also highlights the significance of addressing the needs of pensioners. It represents a pioneering step taken by the three organisations to organise an event of this nature, reflecting their commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for their community.
The inaugural event dedicated to ADPF pensioners under this collaboration is scheduled for 11th July, marking the beginning of a series of events designed to promote physical fitness, social engagement, and a sense of community among the pensioners population. ADPF members are encouraged to take full advantage of this unique initiative to stay active and meet new people.
