The Dubai Media Office said that necessary measures will be taken against media institutions that publish false news or information related to Dubai.
This comes after it denied claims made by a Reuters report that explosions were heard in Downtown Dubai.
Phone calls among UAE, regional leaders
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan earlier had a phone call with the Sultan of Oman to discuss regional developments.
Later, Sheikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minster of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from his Kuwaiti counterpart during which they discussed the current situation and ways to achieve regional security and stability.
White House says latest strikes due to Iran violating MOU
The White House said on Thursday that the latest round of strikes between the US and Iran was due to the Islamic Republic violating the MOU that was signed between the warring parties.
It also said that Iran continues to talk to the US and wants to make a deal.
US military says started new wave of strikes against Iran
“At 2pm ET today, US forces began conducting a new wave of strikes against Iran for the fifth consecutive night to further degrade Iranian military capabilities,” said US Central Command (CENTCOM) on X.
