Emirates extends flight suspension to Tel Aviv amidst Israel-Palestine conflict

Emirates Airlines has extended the suspension of its flights to Israel until November 14. The Dubai-based airline, which has three daily trips to Israel’s Ben Gurion Global Air terminal (TLV), first declared suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until October 20, which was at first extended out till October 26.

“We are closely monitoring the situation in Israel and are in close contact with the relevant authorities. The safety of our customers, crew, and stakeholders is our number one priority,” Emirates said on its website.

“Customers affected by the suspension should contact their booking agents for alternatives, refunds, cancellations, or for rebooking their flight itineraries. Change and cancellation charges will be waived for tickets issued on or before 11 October 2023, for travel until 30 November 2023,” it added.

Passengers holding reservations on Emirates flights to Tel Aviv with onward connections will not be allowed to commence their journey from their departure location until further notice in the event of flight cancellations.

Other UAE-based carriers have also changed their flight activities as the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues.

Flydubai reduced their daily flights to and from Tel Aviv from four to two. A representative for the carrier told Khaleej Times, “Flights FZ 1549/1550 and FZ 1209/1210 to Israel’s Ben Gurion Air terminal are operating as usual. We are monitoring the situation closely and amending our schedule accordingly. We will continue to liaise with the relevant authorities regarding the ongoing developments.”

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways said its daily flights to Israel will continue operating as scheduled.
