The Italian luxury footwear designer today unveiled its Fall-Winter 2021 show collections for men and women.
The women’s collection is shaped by palpable craftsmanship, and its materials speak by means of color, and color gives consistency to shapes.
Consisting of loafers, lace-ups, hand-polished calfskin Chelsea boots, as well as college loafers and the commando-soled styles the footwear is available in vibrant shades of yellow, peach, and fuchsia. The mountain boots with rubber soles get the intense color treatment of emerald green, leather yellow – while the equestrian boots in classic brown and dark brown gain couture grace in the detail of the knot and in the choice of dense satin mixed with leather.
The double buckle which is a Santoni signature recurs as a sign on understated models of absolute versatility, from ankle boots to heeled booties, from slippers to knee-high boots, in a classic palette of black, burgundy, dark emerald green. If the multi-material sneakers express the most active soul of the brand, the more seductive one characterizes the styles with a tapered design and a square toe, with the voluptuous touch of the corset lacing, in lingerie nuances such as black and pearl gray. More square toes for the elegant models of architectural design: boots, ankle boots and loafers in off white nappa, black leather painted in a lizard effect, and in the precious tartan edition.
This season the collection is presented to the public through the CHECKMATE installation that unveils the concept of the new Santoni pop-ups.
Santoni’s men’s line up creates beauty for its wearer by relying on the unique knowledge of its craftsmen.
Featuring aged effects and details such as the sole in nuance with the upper characterize the elongated lace-ups, the double monkstraps which also come in a boot version, the penny loafers with massive soles.
Even the classic Clean Icon sneaker comes in aged leather with matching sole, morphing the informal with the formal. The new multi-material sneakers look to the running world of the past, while the hi-top models recall the world of basketball.
The mountain boots have robust shapes and rock soles, with technical materials are mixed with aged or rubberized calfskin. The color palette is a warm amalgamation that moves from dense shades of brown, dark brown, burgundy to light up in bright tones of electric blue and fuchsia. The materials – calfskin, suede, nubuck, printed leather – are treated with the usual Santoni know how: they are rubberized, shaded, patinated to give color a tactile quality.
Santoni pays special attention to sustainability and emphasizes the use of low-impact materials, renewable energies and waste reduction, is condensed in the project SANTONI RETHINK: sneakers, tote and backpack, for man and woman, entirely made of nylon obtained from plastic recovered from sea waste, eco leather, recycled rubber, water- based glue. Beautiful as useful, but also as responsible, because true craftsmanship always is.
