Abu Dhabi, 17 August 2023: An adrenaline-fueled spectacle awaits gamers and families at Yas Mall as Yas Gaming Festival returns for the fourth year. In partnership with Yas Island, Yas Gaming Festival is set to take place from 30 August to 12 September 2023, promising an action-packed two weeks full of the latest game showcases, racing stimulators, retro-games and cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) games.
A realm of captivating adventure for professional and casual gamers will take place at Town Square inviting residents and visitors to enjoy thrilling games and hands-on plays. Available free of charge for guests of all ages, the gaming extravaganza features dedicated PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch stations as well as a stimulating Formula 1 Simulator. For the first time ever, a one-of-a-kind BFG room will allow players to experience gaming on a whole new level.
Heart-pounding action and epic battles are anticipated as visitors will have the chance to participate in the Fortnite and FIFA 23 Tournaments, and Cosplay Competition with amazing prizes up for grabs. On 1 and 2 September 2023, gamers can showcase their skills and stake their claim amongst the region’s finest players. Both tournaments will commence at 6:00 PM, with registration open between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM each day. Both games will host 40 exceptional players each, all demonstrating their prowess on the PlayStation. The prize pool for the tournaments promises to be a bounty that befits the grandeur of the Yas Gaming Festival, including diverse gift cards sponsored by Abu Dhabi Retail, Yas Bay F&B vouchers and Darna Rewards points by Aldar.
On 9 September 2023, fans can dress up and catch some of their favourite characters at the Cosplay Competition. Participants can showcase design craftsmanship, attention to detail in choosing the right accessories and props, as well as put on a show-stopping performance. The Gaming4Good tournament also returns, giving attendees a chance to pair up with their favorite influencer and donate for a good cause to the Emirates Autism Centre.
